No probs. Glad to see that the TV program had enough of an emotional impact for you to feel so compelled to get involved here.

Stay around if you can. and make sure that you are prepared to talk intelligently to the next JW that comes to your door.

You may be able to plant seeds of doubt in that JW's mind to allow them to question the WatchTower Society.

Amazing how you can read between the lines, once you master the WTBTS "doublespeak" language.

I wholly agree.

I feel like I could write these articles myself after reading just the title of the article. The WTS starts with a nobel idea, then inserts one of their key 'DOUBLETHINK', 'NEWSPEAK' words into the paragraph, and the rest of the article is then a clear path to it's inevitable conclusion:

get baptised NOW, study NOW, give NOW, do field service MORE, read MORE, answer MORE, prepare MORE.

Funchback, thx for the highlights. Saves me the bore of having to go through it myself. It is too bad that a R&F JW would never see this article in this light because of the veil of fear that the WTS pulls over the R&F's eyes by hanging the 'Big A' over their heads.

The internet has given 'present' control to us, and has ripped some of the power that the WTS holds over R&F JW's.

Now the WTS' dirty past and present lies are being exposed for all to see.

Need help...Did you shun a relative?

i need your help again guys.

i need anyone with a story regarding shunning a parent, grandparent, uncle, aunt, etc.

to tell me their story.. i have collected similar stories from around the globe in regards to how shunning has torn apart your family due to your being the victim of the shunning.

FLORIDA MAN BEATS HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION GETS SUED FOR LEGAL FEES

the retired marine that took on the home owners association for the right to fly his american flag won the case against them and earned the right to fly his flag.

however...he was then sued by the home owners association to be forced to pay their legal fees.

stupid...he's appealling.

within a few weeks i leased a condo on the banks of the willamette river just out side the city of portland.

as she got into her car she looked at me funny again, laughed and just shook her head.. .

i told him that if i said i was sorry, i knew that is what they wanted to hear but it was not the truth.

What's the most ridiculous thing you were ever counselled on?

one of the cornerstones of jw's is counsel.

they just love to give counsel and many times they will literally make things up just for the sake of counsel.

i was once counselled for joking around too much.

I'm sitting there getting diet advice from an elder whose at least 50 pounds overweight, and another one whose about 60 years old and as in touch with this sort of problem as a garden snail.

SanFranJim, that amazes me! The elders coming to these off the wall conclusions about how you were profaning jehover’s al-f’ing-mighty name because your name was in an interview. No picture or anything else. And you’re right, that dumb be-yoch elder’s wife should have been cold cocked for even reading such a sacrilegious newspaper article about the Rocky Horror Show. And then to have the whole JC fast tracked to announce it between the two public meetings on Sunday. WTF?

For all of us a lot of the counseling had one thing in common. Someone went to the elders and complained.

It never happened with me. I got dragged into the ‘back room’ with the elders almost once or twice a year for a while there, and never did any of those spineless, mind-numbed robots ever approach me first. They completely ignored Jesus’, and more importantly, the WTS direction.

Like shotgun said, I guess they were all right about me, cause look at me now!
